Our Commission

Our Fees:
As experienced eBay Jewelry resellers, we are confident that our expertise can help you yield the most value of your items. The Consignment Jeweler's ® service includes personalized advice and evaluation, authentication, photography, auction management, shipping, insurance, collection and remittance of funds to you.

After each of your items sell, we charge a flat commission fee of 25% plus any additional eBay related fees that can range from 3-7% (based on what the item sells for) that will be deducted from the total. There is a standard listing fee of $30 per item. The fee is refunded if the item sells. Otherwise the fee covers the initial listing of the item and return shipping.

We also offer starting bid price and reserve auction as an added convenience to you (starting bid prices offer the seller control of the starting price for the auction, while reserve auctions set a minimum sale price of the item but allow for bidding to begin below the sale price. Both of these options allow you to set a minimum price at which you are willing to depart with your item). We make these options only available to you with our discretion included. You may notify us of your requested starting bid price or reserve price. After each unsuccessful auction we will automatically re-list your item for a maximum of three times. In each case, we charge a listing fee of $25 plus 1% of the reserve amount, regardless of if your item sells or is returned to you. You may call us at the end of any unsuccessful auction to notify us that you would not like your item re-listed.

  • The Consignment Jeweler charges a flat rate commission rate based on selling price of each item:
    • 25% of the first $2,000
    • 20% of the next $3,000
    • 10% over $5,000

  • eBay Fees
eBay charges a tiered commission rate based upon the final selling price of each lot: 5.25% of the first $25, 3% of the next $975 and 1.5% over $1,000 plus a $0.60 per lot insertion fee plus a 2.9% Paypal/Merchant fee.

Our Auction Strategy:
The Consignment Jeweler’s ® strategy is to initiate the first auction with a starting bid price based on our market specialist’s recommendation. After the first unsuccessful auction, we will initiate the second auction with a $0.99 starting price protected with a reserve price to create buyer’s buy-in and excitement for the item. The third auction we may run with the same parameters, however, we give the seller the option to also list the item with starting bid of $0.99 and no reserve. This technique has proven to be a successful with items of resale values up to $500.
